D&M Worst Christmas Song Bracket: 4 vs 5

Christmas music can be very hit and miss.  Not everyone can update a classic like Josh Groban, or create a new hit like 98 Degrees.

Some attempts at getting into the Christmas spirit are downright disasters, and that lead Bill to coming up with the idea for DiTullio & Moran's Worst Christmas Song Bracket.

Each day this week (through Thursday) we will be revealing a new match-up.  Each daily winner will advance to the weekend final four.  Voting over the weekend will determine which song gets the honor of being named the Worst Christmas Song.

4-seed "Santa Clause Is Watchin' You" by Ray Stevens

Yes that Ray Stevens, of "The Streak" fame put out this song originally in 1962 and then re-recorded it in the mid-80's and put out this music video.  I hope Santa Clause didn't watch it because it's awful.

5-seed "Back Door Santa" by Bon Jovi

We know how Tools feels about Bon Jovi, and after listening to this abomination you may too.

"Back Door Santa" was originally written and performed by blind Bluesman Clarence Carter in 1968.

It's a pretty enjoyable tune (click here to find that recording)

If the Rock-and-Roll Hall of Fame committee had listened to Bon Jovi take Clarence Carter's song, put it through their crappy hairband filter and poop out the below version, they probably don't get the invite to Cleveland.

So now that you've listened to the songs, scroll down and make your choice for the Worst Christmas Song.

Thanks for participating!
