Known as "The ME Decade", when the social activism of the '60s turned to self-indulging activities that included drug use, "key parties", & all-night dancing, the 1970s left us with more than just bad polyester memories and disco music.
This was the time when many classic groups and artists came into thier own - Led Zeppelin, Genesis, Eagles and Skynyrd to name a few. Hollywood gave us some of the best loved films of all time - The Godfather, Star Wars, Jaws and The French Connection. All the while we were "Dreaming" of Jeannie, getting happy with The Partridge family and solving crime with Charlie and his angels. What adolescent boy didn't have that famed Farrah poster hanging on his bedroom wall?
